Applications for Android 6.0 or higher request access to device features and user personal data.

After you install the application and accept the License Agreement, you see a dialog box where Dr.Web requests access to the data on your device. Application components require a set of permissions as well. If you do not provide required permissions, the application will not be able to operate.

Dr.Web requires access to photos, media and files on your device on the first launch of the application. This permission is mandatory for the application.

Call and SMS Filter requires the following permissions to:

Make and manage phone calls.

Send and view SMS messages.

Access your contacts.

URL Filter requires access to Android accessibility features in order to operate in one of the supported browsers.

Dr.Web Anti-theft requires permissions to:

Make and manage phone calls.

Send and view SMS messages.

Access your contacts.

Access your device’s location.

Access Android accessibility features.

Make Dr.Web a device administrator.

Firewall requires permission to connect to VPN network in order to track the traffic.

Dr.Web on Android TV requires permission to:

Access your contacts.

Access your photos, media and files.

If you decline at least one permission request, you will be prompted to go to settings:

1.Tap Go to Settings and then select Permissions.

2.Enable required permissions by taping a switcher next to each permission.

Viewing the list of required permissions

To view the list of permissions:

1.Open the device's Settings Settings_30027.

2.Tap Apps or Application manager.

3.Find Dr.Web in the list of installed applications and tap it.

4.In the App info screen, select the Permissions option.

5.In the opened screen tap menu in the top right-hand corner, select All permissions.
